Methodology
Every conclusion should lead back to public evidence.
Atlas enumerates public sources, resolves official company domains, keeps provenance beside each dossier, and rejects the shortcuts that turn weak discovery into confident claims.
Source families
Where a company can enter the research funnel
Common Crawl ATS boards
Company discovery and explicit hiring signals
- Yield
- High
- Precision
- High after resolution
- Cost
- Moderate
Hosted job boards expose observable hiring activity. A board token becomes a candidate only after it resolves to an official company website. Unresolved tokens and vendor infrastructure stay rejected rather than becoming guessed domains.
First-party careers pages
Broader company discovery
- Yield
- Very high
- Precision
- Medium
- Cost
- Low to moderate
Public careers and jobs pages reach companies using custom systems or ATS vendors outside the initial set. A careers page proves hiring infrastructure exists. It does not prove a qualifying outbound role, so page-level classification still has to pass.
Curated directories and sitemaps
Narrow market enumeration
- Yield
- Low to medium
- Precision
- Medium to high when narrow
- Cost
- Low
Selected B2B directories can supply official outbound company links and a useful market prior. The directory name and outbound URL remain attached as evidence. Broad catalogs are not added merely to inflate volume, and robots rules are checked before fetching.
Tranco rank oracle
Fame filtering, never lead generation
- Yield
- None
- Precision
- High for fame filtering
- Cost
- Very low after cache
Tranco helps prevent a famous domain from being mistaken for a useful lead. It enters scoring as a cached penalty signal and never enters the lead-source registry.
Qualification contract
Evidence rules that prevent plausible fiction
These are operating boundaries, not claims about perfect coverage. Public sources can be incomplete, stale, or unavailable.
01Official domains only
An ATS token, directory entry, or company name is not converted into a guessed domain. Atlas requires an explicit official website resolution.
02Evidence survives merging
When more than one source finds a company, every source record remains attached. Source ordering does not silently decide which explanation wins.
03Hiring claims need classification
A careers page alone is not treated as proof of outbound hiring. A qualifying role or equivalent page-level evidence must be observed.
04Published contacts only
Contact addresses must appear on company-controlled public pages. Atlas does not generate an email pattern and call it verified.
05Unknown stays unknown
A missing or failed check is recorded as unavailable. It does not become a confident negative or a made-up fact.
06Drafting comes last
A review-ready email is prepared only after the company, public evidence, qualification rules, and contact provenance pass their gates.
What the report shows
An auditable artifact, including its gaps
Included sections
Market map, hiring signals, source-linked gap findings, published contacts, sample drafts, methodology, and run statistics.
Visible uncertainty
Rejected candidates, unresolved domains, unchecked signals, unavailable pages, and source failures remain visible instead of being silently promoted into the report.
Run the method on your market.
The free teardown returns the same report sections by email, usually within a few hours. If a run fails, we tell you and rerun it. Nothing sends to prospects.
